Matcap Studio

Overview

A tool for uploading and viewing 3D models with advanced dithering effects.
Users can upload .gltf models, select different Matcap textures for lighting effects, control playback, and export canvas images.

Main Features

1. 3D Model Upload

• Supports uploading .gltf format files
• Displays a prompt to upload when no model is loaded
• Clicking the upload area triggers file selection

2. Matcap Texture Selection

• Provides multiple Matcap texture sets for users to choose from
• Displays a list of Matcap thumbnails for preview
• Selecting a thumbnail applies the Matcap effect to the 3D model
• Some Matcap sets are planned but currently unavailable (indicated as “Not available”)

3. Playback Control

• Play and pause buttons to control animation or effect playback
• Visual toggle between play and pause icons

4. Canvas Export

• Export the current canvas view as a PNG image
• Button triggers download of the canvas content

5. UI Details

• Sidebar with Matcap selection and export button
• Main area for 3D model display and upload prompt
• Visual styling includes dark backgrounds, blurred overlays, and smooth transitions
• Credits displayed with author name linked externally
